Do I wait or just call?So I went for a nursery nurse interview and the manager said she liked me and ask me to come back for a day trial even though I couldn't really give good answers to 1 or 2 questions.Anyway I went for the trial, I did an observation on one child and I tried my best with helping the staff at meal times, nap times and played and sang along with them. The staff were really unfriendly though. Very cold. I tried speaking to them but only 2 actually acknowledged my existence there.Out of the 50 staff there non of them were my skin colour. I was shocked and whenever I looked up is like they were watching. But I enjoyed my time there and the manager said she'd ask the girls how I did and will give me a call today but the day is over and past the nursery closing time and she hasn't.Should I call her tomorrow to find out?

I wouldn't want to work for someone who doesn't have the courtesy to call you back anyway. You're better off NOT getting this job in my opinion.

(Weird) I rang her back a few minutes later but she didn't answer.

Yes by all means call her and ask if you are still in the running for the job.

Your skin color probably has nothing to do with the fact that the people were unfriendly.
I agree with Eyes: Call her and see if you got the job. You need to find a job, so, if they won't call you, or will postpone the decision, you still need to move and find something. If you aren't getting it from them, then won't they please not waste your time.
Do this even if they give you their assurance that the job is yours. Keep looking and see if you find something better or more secure.
Good luck!

yep, call her, it will show interest in the position and that you have a follow through mentality.
