Should I believe in signs?

Question - (8 December 2011) 4 Answers - (Newest, 8 December 2011)
A female age 30-35, *caaru writes:

twice or thrice while praying i asked God to give me signs and gave him some random conditions like when a coin drops in front of me (w/c happened and actually it was coinsssss) and the other one is when a food, whatever food drops in front of me (w/c also happened). That's why i think it's true and it's like it's the way of God on how he communicates with me.

but now.... it hurts, i asks some signs again last night that if i will have my period this night (w/c i'm really expecting to come within these days) then i should breakup with my almost-two-years-boyfriend. Recently we've been fighting almost everyday for nonsense reasons and didn't see each other much often and we didn't talk that much also. we just have a little chat at night then done. But i love him so much and i know he loves me too but our situation is just tough. :'((

It happened and now i don't know if i should really give up and believe the sign i've asked. :(((((((((((((((

please give some advice :(((

Yes, signs, signs, everywhere a sign. It can be a red flag kind of sign or an actual sign, say on the back of a truck.

Only today I went to the lake to stop and think about ending my RS with a man I may be too afraid to love.

I want more than he can give, so I must do what it right for both of us. I looked at the hills, the water, and asked God for a sign, got upset I wasn't getting one. A bird, a deer, someone to walk by. Nothing. So, while I was leaving, I did notice suddenly a bunch of signs from where I was parked.

"NO PARKING" about six of them or more.

And I kinda thought, that's right "NO PARKING"

You can't just get into my life to Park It!

Even out there on the lake, in the winter I could get a fine for parking. Out there where no one is, I could get a penalty. And yet, most of us set up no penalties, laws when we're in a RS. But look, out here in the middle of no where in the middle of winter, I could get a ticket.

It's time to make some love laws.

Sageoldguy1465 agony auntThe only signs that I think you have to be certain to follow are those that say, "STOP" or "Spped limit, X miles per hour".... Those that you sound like you're following probably are just coincidence.....

Good luck.....

P.S. My sign is: "YIELD".....

A female reader, anonymous, writes (8 December 2011):

I believe that these things do happen! But the signs aren't always instantaneous, nor do they always appear in the form you expect them to, not do they occur every time you ask for one. It's good to ask for guidance from above, but remember you're human too and sometimes *you* have to be the one to figure out what will happen or what you have to do by yourself. As in using your own intuition.

Certain issues, like whether your period will start on a particular day or not, aren't worth worrying about. Trust that your body knows what its doing! More important considerations, like whether you should discontinue your relationship, require rather more soul-searching. You know, God doesn't always speak to us through external signs. More often than not, it's when you're at peace that you'll *know* inside yourself what's the right path to take. Think, reflect, consider. And then ask to be led to the right course of action, or the truth. You'll find it :) Good luck and take care x

A reader, anonymous, writes (8 December 2011):

I like to believe that every now and again that whoever is the great spirit in the sky sometimes gives us signs when we are in need, but I also believe that if they were to give you signs all day every day then there wouldn't be much point in being here in earth. If they showed us the answers for every problem then we might as well be up there with them. I believe we are on earth to learn and live life for ourselves. So just because you aren't getting any signs now don't give up your beliefs or worry, just know that this time the decision is in your hands and that you have to make choices for yourself. God, or whoever, doesn't expect us to have perfect lives and he can't live them for us. Yes at times you have been lucky to have signs that he is with you, and he always is, but he can't influence the pathway of your life you have free will and so need to just pray for his support and make your own decisions. No matter what he'll always be there so trust in your own abilities : ) x
