writes:Okay I had unprotected sex a week ago. My period was due to come in the next 3 days but it came today. It did the exact same thing last month only it came 2 days early. My period is pretty normal. I must admit I have been stressed about the unprotected sex I had hoping and praying I'm not pregnant so maybe that could be the problem. It started off pretty heavy and I am having terrible cramps as usual. I feel very irritable. Should I be worried?

reader, anonymous, writes (15 October 2009): Sounds like it could have been a spontaneous abortion. We have them more often than we know, and many times we think they are just a heavy period.
