I know that discharge is a normal thing, and I consider myself sexually healthy (I'm not sexually active and haven't had any problems down there), but I've noticed lately a lot more discharge than standard for me when I use the bathroom--perhaps two tablespoons--each time I have gone to the ladies room. My period was a couple of weeks ago, so I don't think it is related, but I did become sick early last week with some sort of flu, which gave me such terrible congestion that I also got an ear infection. Could this be related? Is this an average thing that just sometimes happens? Should I not be concerned? I am in no pain and it isn't causing any public embarrassment; just not something I'm used to. Thanks!

If you were on antibiotics, this may have caused a change in the vagina's normal bacteria ... and caused and overgrowth of others, or yeast.
Mid cycle (at time of ovulation roughly 2 weeks before your next period) could see increased egg-yolkish discharge.
If you have ever been sexually active before and noe have changes to your cervix due to HPV or inflammatory changes... this can cause increased discharge. If this continues you may want to get it checked.
