That's one reason I don't want to ask him out. Also, my friends don't like him, at all. So here are my questions:Should I ask him out?Or should I just confront him about it?And should I tell my friends?

HiI would suggest you to ask him out. I mean this is your life right? Don't let your friends control it. If both of you like each other there can be something, some spark between you, so go ahead and give it a shot. If you are too shy to ask him on a date ask him to help you with your studies or maybe teach you to play a sport or something. Spent a little time with him and get comfortable being with him. This way you'll get to know him better. Then you guys can date and go out. But remember it's your life. Do not depend on your friend's opinions. Take care.

Yes if he likes you and he likes you then yes you should ask him out i know itss hard being shy and all but if you tell him about this he will probably understand :) and you both can help eachother to get over your shyness.
If your friends dont like him then well thats there opion i relotionship should be just be between two people and no one else. :)
