Every week there's a guy on my bus that I find really interesting. The problem is: i'm way too shy to talk to him! We have made eyes contact a lot of time but every time I looked at the floor after for like 2-3 minutes because I feel stupid! Next time, I'll try to sit next to him. But I just don't know what to tell him!

So, you sit next to him. You (complain/remark) about the (lousy/great) bus service. Or you mention that the bus driver is a (super/miserable) guy. Or wow, it's been an amazingly (hot/cold) summer, and you're really looking forward to (getting back to work/your trip to Dominica). And what a great new lunch place opened up downtown.

There's stuff going on in your life that isn't personal and might possibly be of interest to a stranger. Go with that flow.
