writes: ive been best mates with a girl for 5 yearsrecently on a night out she didnt get into the clubi got in and bouncer wudnt let anymore people in. i tried everything to speak to bouncer to get her in..now shes annoyed with me and putting me on a guilt trip saying i should have left the bar.. I didnt have a network in the bar either so i could not send/recieve texts..by time i got to toilet and back she had went home. i felt really bad. I know i would have been upset too but shes making a massive deal out of it

reader, anonymous, writes (29 December 2008): it really depends on who you were out with? were you her best friend there? i have to say if i didnt get into a club and my friend didnt come back out to me id be really annoyed as well. i wouldnt care if i got a text or not you could have walked back out to her and talked to her about what you were going to do?
Its not safe to go home alone and you should have gone with her or just tried another club?! but all that said a genuine apology and a bit of time should do the job otherwise shes the type to hold a grudge so ignore her tempers and wait for her to get over it

That's not likely what she's really pissed about. There are probably bigger issues at hand that have been nagging at her but she's been ignoring. Something insignificant like this is the leaping point for her emotions to come out. Talk to her about it. She may not like just being your best friend.
