Question - (10 March 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 10 March 2011)
A male United Arab Emirates age 26-29, anonymous writes:

i am 16 and in high school. I am in love with this girl in my class...all of this started months ago. I have known her for about 3 years now and we were kind of friends before. She is very smart, gets good grades, good looking, nice to people, very social etc etc...and i am kind, sort of smart, social and a little shy. Until a few months ago, we used to talk and interact quite a bit but now it has all stopped. One of the main reasons why she has probably stopped interacting with me is that she somehow know that i like her. Now she behaves almost like a stranger and probably even hates me...on top of that i have been talking more to her friends rather than her and she has been doing pretty much the same thing with me.......even when me and my friend are ever in conversation with her she doesnt look at me when talking....it has been that bad!! i am getting frustrated......plz help me

A reader, anonymous, writes (10 March 2011):

Firstly, I don't think you have any reason to believe this girl hates you. Perhaps she likes you too, and that's making her feel awkward, ever thought about that?

How did she find out you like her, did someone tell her? Perhaps she likes you, but is shy?

Only one thing to do, I think. Walk up to her, smile and say "Hello, haven't spoken to you for ages." See where it goes from there. If she blanks you, walk away and forget about her.

But you never know, she may just be thrilled if you speak to her ... Good luck!
