She wants some space to see if she misses me...

My girlfriend of 8 months broke up with me because i was very jealous and it got to the point of beginning of arguments. 2 weeks after the break up i began counselling and was letting her know about it. she still loves me and i still love her. She says she needs space to go out with others to see if she really misses me and if she still wants me in her life but we still have sex now and then and talk about how much we miss each other and the things we shared together in such a short time. I am confused.
