Being someone's good friend is a very strong basis for something more romantic...don't try to convince her to do other than she feels or you will push her away more than likely...she will feel pressured and lose respect for you.
As hard as it is, just be her good friend, and let the relationship progress at a natural pace...if you get tired of waiting around, date some other girls, this is OK, as she is your friend and you have the right to date anyone you want. It may make you feel less desperate for her attention, which is what you want to feel. Good luck, though, she likes you!
