A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I have been with my boyfriend for four years and we have a two year old son together. We have always had a rocky relationship until my son was born and then it seemed to get better, It is still not perfect i love him very much but i feel there is no love coming from him, he is not the type of person who you can talk with he will ignore me if i try to aproach a conversation about our relationship. He tells me that he doubts he will ever marry me and he has said in the past if it wasnt for our son he would have left ages ago. Whenever i have left in the past he is on my doorstep within a week begging me to go back. i just dont know what to do anymore. I dont feel like he wants or loves me i just think hes scared of being alone. what do i do shall i spend my life waiting around to see if he is ever ready to commit or leave him and move on???

look tell him that you dont want to see him any more.

you just want to be friends and that you can see your son any time that suits us both.

hope this helps
