writes: Hi, me and my girlfriend are 16 but we rarely see each other, alone. But now and again she is on her period. problem- I don't have a problem with having sex during her period but she does. In theory if you can catch it at the start or very end it shouldn't get messy. How can i persuade her that it will be fine? I do respect her opinion and that's that but I can't see the problem. Help!

 This is a really common concern amongst woman and you're game for not being put off. I suspect that your g/f doesn't want to have sex during her period because it IS messy and she feels the whole experience will be that much less enjoyable if she has to worry about stains and so forth.You might suggest having sex in the shower, which would solve a lot of the issues she's probably having, or you could also ensure that you have a towel underneath you, in order to save the sheets.Of course another option is to have other kinds of sex during those few days. The main thing is, you need to talk to your g/f, tell her what you've said here, that you don't see it as a problem and that she's no less attractive to you just because of her period. Offer her some alternatives, see what her opinions are, then be a little patient and see how you go.
