Put in 15 - 20 minutes with your tongue first. She will be very happy already so your "performance" will no longer be an issue and everything will be nice a wet and slidey and you'll have no problem getting in.

Performance anxiety?
It was your first time, so perhaps it was just that (nerves). I don't see what being fat has to do with anything...
Just have another go at it, things will improve the more you have sex. If you can get it up usually, then you shouldn't have too much of a problem. A lot of guys have this problem at least sometime in their life.

These things happen the first time you have sex. It took me and my first boyfriend, who was also a virgin, a few attempts before we got it right. Don't worry about it! It could be self esteem issues as mentioned. If you're worrying too much about your appearance or whether the girl will enjoy it, or any sort of worry is going through your head at the time, this will affect the sex and your errection. Try to relax, take it easy and slow. Have fun with your girl, have a lot of forplay and when you have a fully hard errection go for it. Maybe try you going on top next time, it might work better for you guys. Missionary is always a winner :)
Good luck!

You start out your post, by criticizing yourself! You may have been feeling insecure and worried about your appearance. That can cause you to be unable to keep your erection. Self-esteem is an important part of performance for a man...especially his first time! Relax and enjoy!
Keep experimenting...it'll happen!
Good Luck!

Sounds like you were just worried a lot to be honest. Just relax a bit more about it all.
