Entirely Unique agony auntI think you'll find in most relationships at some point or another sex changes or its wanted more or less than normal.

If its important to you to make a difference to the situation then either talk to him or try to find a way to gently push the situation back to the way it was but I would still think talking to him but without accusing or anything just seeing if you can find out why he thinks its changed or if anything has changed for him.
