i used to suffer with my periods too, i found that a hot bath & hot water bottles helped. Also sleeping on my stomach eased the pain.
I would advise you to book an appointment with your doctor, i did. She was really helpfull & understanding.
She put me on the contraceptive pill which really helped, now the pain is nowhere near as bad.
Take care

When I was your age I had severe pains too and it can be very frustrating! Paracetamol alone never did much for me, but I discovered anti-inflammatory painkillers such as Ibuprofen or Solpadine are quite good. I also found heat was helpful - hot water bottle or a wheat bag on your tummy. I have never tried a TENS machine but apparently they are helpful for some women and you can buy them from chemists.
If your pains are severe, your GP can prescribe stronger pain killers and you shouldn't be shy to ask because it is a common problem. If you get severe pain at exam time in school, for instance, then a remedy that works for you is very useful. Also, if your pains persist then I recommend a checkup with your doctor. It may signal a hormonal problem (well, that was the case with me anyway) and it is reassuring to get some advice from your GP as you don't need to be in agony every couple of weeks when a solution can be found.
