writes:I'm in a really akward situation, I live at home with my mum, dad and older sister (when she's home from uni) My parents have been together since they were 16 and 17, and have two children together, me and my sister. The other night I was downstairs on my own and my parents went upstairs to have a bath and shower, my mum came down first and I went up to get my bath leaving her on her own. I left my facemask downstairs and I went to go and get it, but when I came down my mum was sat watching a sex chanel of a topless woman. I ignored it and she quickly turned over the channel. She new I'd seen it, I was so disturbed, I don't know what to think, She's married to a man. I went upstairs and couldn't stop thinking about it. It is so compoletly opposite to how she is normally, it was like a compoletly different person. Why would she be watching a naked lady on a sex chanel on her own?Please help xxx Reply to this Question

 I want you to know, from a professional prospective, this behavior in men and women is normal. I know she is your mom, but she is also a woman. There are ways of expressing one's sexuality that are not openly available to the public. Such as, in school, how many girls compare themselves to other girls of the same age? That too is an expression of sexuality, and is just as normal as what you saw your mom watching. This is not to say it would be okay for you to start watching the same. Different levels of sexuality alter depending on age. I would say it would be okay for you and your mom to sit and talk about this. Not about judging her for watching, but ask her to talk to you about sexuality and validation from being a girl, progressing into being a women. This would allow you to gain incite into changing from who you are now to the young woman you are becoming.
We know at different ages, different questions come to surface. It's important to have open communication with your mom in answering these questions as the come up. She is your guide in growth from girl to woman. Listening to her will be far more beneficial than to rely on friend to guide you during this process.

Try to forget it and remember it is a private matter. Dont go talking to your friends or your dad. Maybe your sister, but no one else. honey, i love watching hot chicks on camera but it doesnt mean i wana go sleep with em...same thing with ur mom. She LOVES ur dad, she wants to b with him and she enjoys the sex too (just like i enjoy men) but its perfectly normal for other women to watch stuff like that b/c women are beautiful!
