I hope you guys are there for me ;-) This Saturday, my girl and I have six months day, and it's a bit of a milestone, since none of us has ever had a sweetheart before. I sleeping at her place from the previous day, and I am planning to buy her a rose and some chocolate, which I will lay on her table while she is (hopefully) still asleep. My plan is then to go down to her kitchen and make some breakfast. Does any of you have any idea of something easy I can make, quite fast, which could proove to be kind of romantic? (We are both vegetarians.) Reply to this Question Share |

OK. I did this before. Listen:
Firstly, no matter what you do, in order to make her feel nice you'll either have to prepare ingredients beforehand or go out that morning and fetch some. I advise you to be ready with things beforehand.
1. Your magic weapon: strawberries, use them in abundance. Cut them, sprinkle brown sugar, wait for catalysis, put them in yogurt. For that matter, add different berries all around, nuts work too with that combo on the side.
2. Fresh orange juice. Don't buy ready-made, squeeze. This is key and pretty much separates the men from the boys. Trust me on this.
3. Fresh hot bagels, and make sure to have nice spreads, you probably know her taste better than me. If you can't go to a bakery, just make sure to buy fresh and to serve HOT.
4. If she likes coffee, get fresh, high quality stuff.
5. Hard (or soft) boiled eggs.
6. Freshly cut vegetables, nice cheese in strips, sprinkle olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For extra effect warm some sunflower seeds and champignon mushrooms over a pan with some olive oil and place over vegetables and cheese.
7. Half a grapefruit.
8. Flowers, they should be on the serving platter as decoration and should smell nice.
It sounds like a big deal, but it's not.
Now, most importantly:
9. DON'T LET HER CLEAN UP OR YOU'LL MESS UP THE WHOLE THING.
My two cents.
