I have recently tried to start a relationship with a long time friend. Things were going well for the first few months but things went sour. Due to me not wanting to lose a valuable friendship I decided to go back to the way things were before. I told him that I would stop calling and if he needed someone to talk to, I will be there. I'm asking do you think he will ever call me again.

So_Very_Confused agony auntWe have no way of knowing if he will ever call again

if you told him you were not going to call him but if he needed someone to talk to you would be there... I would not sit around and wait for him to call.

Impossible to say OP, we can't know what he's thinking. It's sounds unlikely that it will go back to the way it was before, things went sour then the friendship went sour too.
