Before thinking about a tummy tuck think about the scar. It will wrap all the way around the front of your waist line. You will have to wear your pants a little high and wearing a bathing suit that sits low is out of the question because you will have to hide the scar. The scar is not pretty. I can understand how your feeling a little distressed by this but I really do think it's not as bad as you say. We all perceive ourselves in a far less favourable light than is actually the case - more so with you as you're female!
Just join an evening exercise class - tums and bums, that sort of thing and you may be amazed at the results.
Can't hurt to give it a try, eh?

reader, anonymous, writes (20 July 2008): No, I don't think you need a "tummy tuck",..certainly not at your age. Just stay on a good diet and do some exercise. Sit-ups and leg lifts would be good to "tighten up". And just some good regular fast walking can be great.
