writes: I would like some female advice. I really like this girl in my year at school. We used to go out a couple of years ago for a few months but then stopped because everyone in the year found out. One of her friends asked me if i was still interested in her but i lied by saying no. I think about this girl all the time and dream about her. The thing is i am too shy to go up to her and ask her out and she seems the same way. Today for example in form class she stared at me for a couple of minutes whilst stroking her hair. I don't appear to have any attraction to other girls apart from her. i enjoy playing golf, she likes horse riding but do you think i should ask her to come and see me at the golf club in the summer holidays?What other signs would there be that she was interested in me and how would i make an approach to her taking into account that she is always with her friends? please note that we are both very shy.

reader, anonymous, writes (11 May 2006): i think you should go for it i had a problem like that with a guy and didnt no how he felt and eventually i asked him who he loved and he said me i was delighted :) if you get her alone and she is decent she won't laugh or anything and if she don't lyk you she will let u down gently! tell her that you were embarrassed to say my lad said he was and i thought it was sweet. i hope that answer was ok :)

I remember being in this position so many times with guys and i always wanted to know the same thing. the last time it happend was when i started to like the guy who is now my boyf. I got that inkling that he was interested in me coz he was always looking at me and cracking jokes and being the centre of attention. i always looked back at him and giggled at his antics. put it this way, you just know if someone like you!!! Im not a shy girl at all but my forwardness disappears when it comes to askin a guy out.you could just try makin chit chat in class with her and her mates and prove your a nice person, thn when you get the oppertunity ask her if she would be interested in coming to the cinema or something. tell her your goin with some mates and say she can ivite hers too. if she like the idea say 'great, shall i give you a text 2night about it' then ask her to type her number in to your phone then away you go.

 You will never know until you ask her! Just ask her can you talk to her alone and then just say that you really like her and see what she says...if you go away for the summer and don't do it you will regret it and will spend the summer with what if's!! No matter what her answer at least you will know! Remember: nothing ventured nothing gained! go get your girl! Best of luck!

Before you know it some other guy will ask her and she will say yes because you never asked her out anyway. Then you'll be kicking yourself. Take the opportunity NOW...dont chicken out and leave it till later. It might be too late. Do it bro, not next week...today.
