writes:I really like this boy but I don't know if he likes me back. I only have one lesson with him and at the beginning of the year I sat near him ( there was a seat inbetween us and only one other person on our table) and we talked and the next week he moved his seat next to mine and away from the only other boy in our art class and then at the end of the lesson I hugged him and since then he hugs me without fail or me saying anything at the end if every lesson. Anyway last week it was my birthday and my friends threw this huge surprise party and he came and he got me a card and it said " to (me) HAPPY BIRTHDAY hope you have a great day and enjoy yourself! have a mad one from (him) x" and the other day he walked me to the gates of school and hugged me in front of his friends ( well I say in front of his friends but I don't think they noticed) Reply to this Question

 It would seem he likes you. But you're both young so it's not like you have sooo much to do with it even if you were to engage in a labeled relationship with this boy. But I do suggest that because you are so young, try to be up front and forward with your feelings while going through this time in your life. Sometimes you may get rejected, but you're young its not like its the end of the world. (Even though I'm sure it would feel like it. :p ) Being up front and forward with your feelings helps you find out who you are quicker especially as things like boys/drama/girlfriends/life actually starts to fall into place.

 Well kid, it certainly sounds like he has a big smile for you. It sounds like he likes you, but the problem is, he isn't sure if YOU like him. Sometimes guys need a little nudge to know they are going in the right direction.
But just to be sure, does he hug other girls? Or does he seem to focus that sort of attention only to you?
If you are the only one receiving the attention, I say be a daredevil. Next time you two hug, give him a quick kiss on the cheek and smile at him. Gauge his reaction- if he gets flustered and falls silent and speechless, well then, congrats, you just made him a happy clam. Besides, if that isn't obvious to a guy (other than directing telling him that you like him), then I don't know what is. That should get the ball rolling.
