A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

In reserves, do you have to be stationed in another state from where you normally live?

Also, are people able to have a regular job such as a lawyer or nurse and be in the rerves as well since reserves is only a once or twice a month thing?

A male reader, anonymous, writes (23 May 2011):

In general, you serve near where you live and work one weekend per month plus two weeks per year. For certain types of jobs this is not true, but they will not force you into those situations. (You would have to volunteer for that and even then they pay to fly you out once per month.) Yes, people with regular day jobs are in the reserves. It is possible to be called up to full-time duty and be deployed, however.
