Question - (17 January 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 17 January 2009)
A female Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I threw up 2 hours after I took a birth control pill, a few days before the end of my pack. I took another one that day just in case, but I decided not to add a pill to the end of my pack, but rather finish the pack a day early and then start a new pack a day early. I got my period and have started the new pack today; am I protected still, or did I ruin my last pack and now have to wait another month before I am protected again?

A female reader, vampchick United Kingdom +, writes (17 January 2009):

When ur ill its safest to assume ur not protected, however If u took another pill and didnt throw it up you shud be protected, tho use a condom just incase. im on them. You can have ur period early or postphone it by taking less pills so long as you only break for 7 days. its not advised to postphoned it long a week at most. U wont have to wait a month before your protected again.
