For the last 2 weeks i have been feeling overly tired with headaches everyday, lower backache everyday and a sick feeling that comes and goes not to mention very slight cramping and bloating and a bit of thin white sticky discharge. What i'm confused about is that i had a period on the 9th March that lasted 11 days so i finished on the 19th March i then had sex on the 22nd and again on the 24th and 25th. On the 25th in the afternoon i started bleeding this lasted 3 days. i didnt actually think anything of it until i started feeling all these symtoms. I know period/pregnancy symtoms are similar but i have never had backache/headache and this sick feeling so bad. I did a pregnancy test on Monday 6th and it showed negative. I have tried to work out my cycle from the month before and it was 29 days. Have i tested too soon, is it possible to get pregnant on the mini pill (Femulen)?

I'm on Femulen and I hate it. I get odd bleeding and strange symptoms too.
I have odd periods all over the place as well for varying lengths of time.
I think if you tested negative you should be ok as you've been taking it properly and everything.
It took me about 6 months to get some of the strange side effects so it could just me your body has woken up to the fact that you are forcing strange hormones on it and is throwing a tantrum.
Go and get a proper pregnancy test at the docs and hopefully this is just part of your body getting used to being on the pill. It takes a long while to do unfortunately.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 April 2009): It shouldn't be, but you should go and get checked out by a doctor anyway. Somethings obviously not right here and you need to get it sorted. Don't have sex and lay off the pill for a while and go and get yourself sorted.
Maybe it's a delayed reaction to the pill?
