I found out on Friday that i am pregnant, which my partner and i am very happy about.:-)

The thing is, i havent been able to sleep properly for the past 3 nights.

This is obviously cos im thinking about being pregnant, but i dont want to carry on not being able to sleep as im guessing i'll be more tired than normal anyway.

Does anyone have any relaxation tips?

Thank you

Fairy_Lu agony auntI woul suggest a nice blend of rosemary and lavender essential oils but this can cause miscarriage before the first 3 months, but im pretty sure body lotions and bath oils dont have a high concentration of pure oils so i think you would be pretty safe.

Ok my first tip is dont eat after 6pm (because it keeps your digestive system working over time). But being pregnant not sure what your eating habbits are like at the moment. Take a long soak in a nice warm bath with cand;es and a relaxing cd, and go to bed at the same time every night eventually your body will figure out that bed means sleep and your body will use its internal clock to put you to sleep.

On the other hand you could always see your GP

LazyGuy agony auntAs someone who used to work odd hours constantly.

First, get the bed clean, new sheets and clean underwear or whatever.

Relax before you go to bed. Don't watch tv that has you feeling or thinking. Don't read a book in bed. Do not have a deep meaningfull discussion with your partner.

Go to the toilet even if you don't have too. Take a warm shower (but do not wash your hair or get it wet) and go to sleep in a completly dark slightly cold room with NO sounds. If you want to have sex, do it before the shower, no raised heartbeat in bed.

Do not eat anything in the last hours before going to bed. Especially nothing like snacks or soda.

That at least works for me when having to constantly switch sleeping patterns, I obviously can't tell you about being pregnant.

sexi agony auntHi

Try having a warm bath before going to bed and having a warm drink. Dont eat a meal before going to bed as this would keep you up. If you have a tub then you can soak in there before going to bed.

Regards, mail me if you wanna talk
