Question - (17 May 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 17 May 2009)
A female Australia age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I have lately been worried about pregnancy. I haven't had my period in more than two months now, though my cycle is every 6 weeks. My boyfriend and I do have sex, but few times and we use a condom each time. When my period was late, i took a pregnancy test two weeks later, followed all instructions properly and it came back negative. My worries were eased as i figured it could just be stress from school and relationships with friends. But now its been another two weeks, and I still havent gotten my period. I have no pregnancy symptoms at all, and I had recently been to a doctor because my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex once last night. He told me that it could just be stress and at my age, it is not uncommon to miss a period. He also checked my tummy and asked about any symptoms, each of which i said no, and he concluded i was not pregnant and gave me the morning after pill. I'm still worried that there is a chance i could be pregnant because my period is irregular, but has never been so late before. But i have no symptoms. What are the chances of pregnancy?

A female reader, Olivia(Y). United Kingdom +, writes (17 May 2009):

Olivia(Y). agony auntIf you have taken the morning after pill and the doctor has confirmed you are not pregnant then you are not pregnant.

Periods can be irrugular right up until you have children, its not unheard of.

Also worrying about if you are pregnant can delay a period.

Try and relax and your period should come soon.
