She took the first one within 4 hours of sex. Should I be concerned or is it going to be all good seeing as the pill is like 95% effective within 24 hours and we took it within 4? reader, anonymous, writes (26 March 2009): Fear not, it is pretty damn unlikely the girl is pregnant. You don't have to be so jumpy. You wore a condom and she took an emergency contraception pill. The likelihood of her actually getting pregnant is like 0.000000000001% (not an actual statistic lol). But seriously, sex is to be enjoyed, not worried about. Good on ya for using condoms and continue to do so! You may want to suggest to the gf to get one some contraception as well, as a backup to condom usage. But seriously, take a deep breath, I'm sure she's not pregnant.
