writes:HEY!! i know this is not a question on relationships.. i just need all the help i can get at the minute! And as you've been so helpful to me and my relationships in the past, i wondered if you could help me with this! i understand if it gets rejected but id apprieciate your help..A friend of mine has a son, hes 15 and has been given less than 12 months to live due to a serious heart condition, at birth they told him he would live for no longer than 10 months! but he beat the odds and the little fighter has proved everybody wrong and is such an amazing inspirational character! Thankfully he has always had an amazing hospital (LGI, HEART UNIT) which if your from anywhere in yorkshire (UK) you might have heard about to help him, he needs this and he needs the facilities, but unfortunately, it breaks my heart to say.. they are trying their hardest to shut this hospital down and move it from leeds. (where we, AND 100'S OF OTHERS are treated) to newcastle, about 100 miles away in a car. we were told that if my friends son was to be taken to the hospital in newcastle while he was ill (as it would have been the only hospital to touch him, due to been a heart patient) he wouldnt have survived the journey due to the severeness and the length of the journey! thankfully, we didnt have to go through this, as leeds (one of the biggest cities in the uk) had everything he needed! :)This heart ward CANNOT be closed down! it has, is and hopefully will continue saving millions of babies, children and adults lives!! It is such a huge as well as personal campaign we are fighting!
