writes:I'm 18 years old and for the last year and 5 months have been in love with a 38 year old man. I've heard it all before, oh he's too old for you, oh he's only using you for sex. So I really dont need to hear it from people on here who dont even know me and him. Just a little background info: we've argued a lot but that's only because we were both insecure about our relationship, however as time went by me and him became stronger. On saturday he was in a car crash on the A1 yet he still came up. we hung out for a bit which was great until my friend asked me to come out. Originally my ex had said he would, yet he changed his mind and gave me some money to go. I went and then told him I was in trouble and he started saying next time you come see me let me arrange something with my friends. I cried and went back to the hotel he was staying in, and after a lot of commotion with my friend who made us go for a drink with her he left us and at 2am, i went back, went into the bed next to him and started to cry. He said he needed to think about us a lot and well he broke up with me on tuesday but it was only because i forced him to come to a decision, bad idea i know. I really need help, and i dont need people saying to me go get a new guy and move on. I am not like that, it takes me a long time to love someone and ive never loved anyone as much as my ex. He's told my friend he loves me but he doesnt want to be with me because "when your with someone they can hurt you". I asked him if he loved me and he said yes... but dont hold on to the past. Thing is I'm not trying to hold onto the past, I've apologised a lot and have been in tears since this has happened. I know he's supposed to be in my life, its one of those things that you just know. I've told him we could be friends and he's agreed but when I added him on facebook again he messeged me saying "I became your friend then decided I'd get jealous seeing you chat with guys plus your pm was not nice xx I could use your help so much at the moment, I truly adore him, but we've hurt each other so much, I was just wondering if anyone's been in this situation before, or could offer some beautiful insight into getting my ex back. P.s just so you know hes a gemini - and they are stubborn!thank you
