He is a great guy i would hate to lose him forever, i know do the no contact rubbish but it seems to be a waist off time i already know he is a great friend. I just don't believe he dosn't love me do i have to play hte game?

Honestly, you should think about this. If the worst came to the worst it could badly affect you and then it could have a negative impact on your kids. And as he seems to be having a problem getting close to you it is not wise to force anything as once again this can have a knock on affect on your children. And you as a dating parent need to do what is right by your kids as he may be doing himself.
