God bless the warriors who can handle staying home, but personally, i don't think i could handle it. i'd probably still be at home for the first few months while we got some money saved up, but after that, i'd hit the road. so, pipeline ladies, what do y'all do all day? obviously, there's the typical housewife duties of cooking and cleaning and laundry, but does that really take up a whole day (especially in a travel trailer)? do any of you have any kind of work from home jobs (if so, how did you go about obtaining them)? are you able to get to know any other wives, and do you maintain those friendships well? how often do you move, and how often do you get to go home? any insight is greatly appreciated. thank you in advance!!

If you have no children or other ties then why not apply for a job as well. There are sure to be positions on site available to suit you, administration or maintenance, cleaning or even working in the mess. (I am basing my suggestions on the mining industry here in Australia where FIFO is common). Women are also employed as machinery operators and in other positions.
Do some research, see what might be available.
If there are no positions available for you but you still want to be with him think about further education that could be completed online.
You could come away with a stronger marriage, money in the bank, a new qualification and some fantastic stories to tell your future grandchildren.
