Some peoples periods don't settle down into a cycle until they have a child.
Your completely normal! When you are a teenager your periods can have a cycle from 26-52 days!
Even a small amount of stress can delay your period. For your GCSE Coursework set a time each night where you only do 1hr-2hr on it and do it over time. This will keep you calm and help you get it done. Also after you have been working all day relax. Have a nice walm bubble bath or do something that relaxs you.
But don't worry that your period is late, it happens to everyone! If your period hasn't come in the next week talk to your school nurse about it, shes there to help you not just send you home when you feel ill.
If you have had sex lately and your period still doesn't come go and get a test and do one then wait 48 hours and do another one to make sure the results are the same.
Good luck

The first obvious question is Have you had sex?
If the answer to that is no, then I would bet it's just one of those freak things--caused by stress or hormones or whatever. If you miss again next month go see your doctor. He or she may want to put you on birth control pills to regulate your cycle.
I wouldn't worry too much about it though. At your age it's really rather unusual to have predictable periods.
