Right well im 16 and i started my periods when i was 11, i have had them every single month (sometimes twice) unlike my friends whos are still ilregullar. Recently like over the last six months iv not been coping well with my periods, its not to do with the pain or anything like that, but i am really squeamish with blood, its been really horrible and i get worse each month. I was thinking about going on the pill, to stop my periods, but my mum has trust issuses with me and she will think that if i go on the pill it will make me more interested in boys lets say. Is there anything i could do that would make this all eaiser for me so i dont dread every month coming ??Thankss :)

They will not tell your family, and they will answer any and every question you have prior to you leaving their office. It is what I had to do when I was 17. I am now 28, and it was the best thing I could have done to provide me with menstrual relief. Good luck!

I've been on the pill for over a year now because i had terrible acne, and later on I started using it as a contraceptive as well. The pill did 5 wonderful things for me: It totally cleared my acne up, my period pain used to be unbearable--now its non-existant and my periods are so light i hardly need to wear tampons/pads, it made my periods more regular and...no more bleeding for a week, now it only lasts about 2 days!
It is also said that the pill helps prevent Endemetriosis :)
