A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (3 January 2009):

If it is unusual abdominal pain then see a doctor.

Better to be told it's just cramps and to go home and use a heat pad than be taken to hospital with a ruptured appendix in 3 more days.

Good Luck!! xx

Honeypie agony auntI know it sound unreal, but exercise helps. When you exercise you body release endorphins (happy chemicals) and they ca reduce pains and aches.

Eating right and sleeping right (get you 8 hours), a warm water bottle/ heating pad, A nice hot long shower might make her feel good too. Taking her vitamins can also help. Zink, calcium and vitamin B can reduce some of the pain ans symptoms.

EmRaIrKiAe agony auntthere is nothing you really can do she could try using a heating pad but if she is still a teen then its most likely nothing to be worried about. She could try talking to a gyn though.
