 I think it's a sign that you should see your gynecologist. Sorry for not having any better answers but let's look at this objectively. You had unprotected sex. During a possibly fertile period. You have unexplained bleeding.
It doesn't sound normal to me. You have about 60-70 years ahead of you, if you take good care of yourself. And even if you do take the best care of yourself, you may still find that you have a condition that was missed in your health care.
I was going to write some more things but I thought that it wouldn't help you very much, only scare you.
See your doc. That's the only sensible advice any of us can give you.

Could be anything.
See a doctor.
Since you are having unprotected sex it could be a disease or pregnancy.
Don't do it again.
