Out of town students put down my home town

A female Australia age 30-35, anonymous writes:

i am 20 years old,i was put to this very prestigious school where everywhere comes from a different city and i was the only local,and since its a small town the students used to put this city down and i wasn't ready to accept that i am from here and i lied saying i come from a different place too but i told them that this small town is my home place..i am just worried what if they find out,,please dont ask me to tell them the truth its not happening its too late

Well just carry on lying then.

You will get found out at some point and you'll look even worse but that's the risk you take.

Travel in the holidays and find out where you WANT to live in the world and then you can talk about that instead.
