writes: I hang round in a large gang of girls and boys ranging from ages 14-17. I understand that with teenagers and all the ranging hormones it is very hard for girls and boys to be just friends and if any do get together then it breaks up friendships and the gangs drift apart. The following is very confusing but this is what has happened within this particular group. Don not worry if you don’t follow it – if you do then it that’s amazing! lol GIRL 1 liked her best male friend, BOY 1, he seems to like her too. Several other girls acted as if they liked him too. BOY 2 and BOY 3 liked GIRL 1. She like BOY 2 a little bit.GIRL 2 and BOY 4 got together.GIRL 3 liked BOY 4 and then 5.BOY 5 flirts with all the girls including acting very much like he was going out with GIRL 2 - his brother’s girlfriend. BOY 5 gets off with GIRL 3 several times but they did not go out.BOY 2 and GIRL 4 got together.BOY 2 and GIRL 4 split up a few days later as BOY 2 says it was on the rebound from an outside relationship.GIRL 5 admitted to always liking BOY 2.BOY 1 sent GIRL 1 a letter telling her the friendship was too great to lose.BOY 5 goes out with GIRL 6.BOY 1 went out with his ex gf - GIRL 7 (who he had been out with countless times before).BOY 1 and GIRL 7 split up after a few days.BOY 1 introduce GIRL 8 who got together with BOY 2. A while later, BOY 1 met GIRL 9 and 10. BOY 1 liked GIRL 9 but GIRL 10 was jealous.BOY 1 asked GIRL 9 out. Meanwhile GIRL 11 flirts with BOY 1 big time. BOY 1 said it was going to fast and with GIRL 9 and split with her after one day.BOY 1 is now going out with GIRL 7 again, but may still have feelings for GIRL 1. GIRL 1 doesn’t know if she’ll ever have the chance to be with him as she’s so sure he does still like her.BOY 4 and GIRL 2 split up the same day BOY 2 and GIRL 8 split.BOY 4 is now going out with GIRL 8.GIRL 2 thinks she has feelings for BOY 2.GIRL 4 is falling for BOY 3. There are still several members who have not been included. Basically my question is whether there is any way to control the moving patterns of friendship and to get everyone back to how we were before the above disaster? Do you think we will ever be able to stay friends with each other as we grow older and start living our separate lives in the real world? If you followed any of the above then do you have any advice for the individual problems? (or is that asking too much?! lol) I'd really appreaciate if you could try and help with all these problems. If not just see it as a bit of sun. Thank you to all of you who give it a try. x x x x x
