What ever method you pick, I suggest that you back it up with a condom just to be safe. Pregnancy sounds bad, but STDs can be fatal.
Good Luck!

For your age group? no. I wouldn't suggest a IUD at 16 - nor would I suggest the implant. Condom AND birthcontrol pill together is the BEST solution.
Or.... no sex at all.

Yes.... abstinence has proven to be a perfect method of birth control..... Unfortunately, it requires SELF control.... and that combination is not always available...

There's good info at http://www.plannedparenthood.org
The best person to ask is your gynecologist, so that your own personal risk factors and health can be taken into account. You can discuss vaccines and other important aspects of protecting you from STDs as well as unintended pregnancy.

It sounds like you are looking for natural ways to do this, in which case the options are:
1. No sex.
2. Charting your cycle and only having sex on the very safe days.
The safe days are from about 4 days after you have ovulated, until about the third day of your period. The rest of the time you should avoid if you want to be totally safe. The most dangerous time is just after your period up until the middle of the cycle, because you can even ovulate early.
Can explain in more details if that is what you wanted in terms of info.
all best

Having sex not only brings the risk of pregnancy but also the risk of nasty infections, only condoms prevent you from catching these, so condoms are always the best way to go.

IUDs, implants, the shot female condoms.
Then there are the ones that don't work very well and you shouldn't go there, the sponge, diaphragm, spermicide gel.
Then there's the one that can work well, but not when you're an adolescent because your cycles are not as regular, your schedule in general isn't very regular, and just is not recommended for someone your age and that's fertility awareness based birth control.

Depo shot or Nuvaring. The shot is a couple of times a year. I use the ring & you change it every month. It kinda gets in the way sometimes, but has worked well so far.
