Opinions on tattoos please?

Question - (3 July 2010) 10 Answers - (Newest, 4 July 2010)
A male Nigeria age 41-50, *ruce lee writes:

I have a few tattoos, and I'm wondering if women find them attractive or if they think they look shocking?

The best tattoo I have is a black dragon on my right arm. I don't know if it looks scarey or not.

One of the reasons I have tattoos is to cover up scars and disfigurements (gynaecomastia). So my question is... Do women find them attractive or do they find them to be too extreme? Or is it not important?

I guess there are all sorts of reasons why people get tattoos.

What do you all think guys and girls?

prostitutes ?? Hey listen that's their joy, to do whatever it takes to make you feel good. After all that's what you're paying them for isn't it?

bruce lee agony auntI have had it off with prostitutes before and they have commented that they like them. So I guess that's a good sign. But more importantly, thanks for your answers. I will go away and have a think about all this for a while. If a woman has tattoos, I think it can look bad because it might make her look tough or masculine. But they look good on guys. Laurenbabz has made a good point in saying that if the woman loves you, she won't object. nightfairy11 is also right in saying that all women are different. jerseylicious has also made an interesting point, saying that if a guy is in shape, they (tattoos) will look better. Take care, all of you. And God bless.

I think they can be quite a turn on, especially if they're in a spot that is usually covered up because when you finally discover they have one, it's like you've just discovered that the other person has a bit of a little wild side!

I don't actually have any tattoos and probably wouldn't get one unless it was a tiny dot (I don't like pain), but like another poster said, if the girl is in love with you, she won't object to them and may even embrace them as the tattoos being a part of who you are. :)

I loveeee them most of the time. you have to get them in places that show off the best parts of your body. if a guy is really in shape and has tattoos in places like his arms or on his back, it definately is a turn on for me.

As long as they are meaningful to you and not just some naked lady you got on a dare, tattoo's are ok. Some girls will be bothered by them and some won't, it's just the risk you take having them. But since you can't do anything about it there is no reason to worry about it. I personally love them and always have, I think they are a wonderful way of expression. I have one myself, a memorial tattoo to my brother who was killed in a care accident. It has his name on it and I have found that some guys are put off by me having another mans name on my body and some don't mind at all, so it's all about finding the right person.

I personally am not super into tattoos, but I wouldn't really mind if my guy had one. Some people love them though. If it turns out a girl doesn't like them and you tell her the reason you have them, I'm sure she'd be fine with it.

VictoriaK agony auntThis is a bit tough, just because not everyone thinks the same way. But I'll give you my perspective, I'm a female, and I love tattoos. I think that as long as they are professional then they are great. But some people believe that it's weird, or not attractive. You just have to get to know the person, and you'll know. Besides, you got the tattoos for YOU. not for anyone else, and as long as you're happy with them, then I don't think anyone's opinion really matters.

Good Luck,

Victoria K
