I became upset over something silly, my mate tricked me out of some money. while i was sitting on my own, i saw my mate looking in my direction with a strange look on his face. Then i find out that he hugged my girlfriend and they had their photo taken by the bar lady. This photo is soon to be put on thier website, should i be worried? i've tryed to avoid him since then. I don't want my girlfriend to know that im jealous over this but, now all the locals can see my girlfriend and my best mate hugging. I feel left out as me and my girlfriend had said how we wanted our photo taken together.

your mate doesnt sound like a mate at all... tricking you out of money?. id say ditch the guy
from what youve said its just a hug, but this 'mate' doesnt sound like he can be trusted so if you have your uncertainties the only thing you can do is ask her..
good luck

Its just a hug, as long as nothing more is going on between them (if your not sure then confront your girlfriend). You can easily get a picture taken of you and your girlfriend together. Go to a photo booth and get it taken.
