I was in relationship for 6 years. Last year money was getting tight so I borrowed some from my boyfriend. I twice offered to pay him back but no he said, you keep it. Now we have split up he wants it back!

hlskitten agony auntNo if he said he didn't want it back, then he shouldn't get it back. If it was always a loan and you arranged to pay it back, then obviously you would.

Sounds like he's a bit annoyed at the split.

since he originally told you to keep it,and you borrowed it when you were still together,id say you owe him....nothing! its not called being ungrateful.he told you to keep it.
