Nothing happened, but I wish I could have slept with this old friend! What does that mean for my current relationship?

A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I am in a long term (six years) relationship. I do love my boyfriend buthe works all the hours there are in his job. I see him rather infrequently. I met an old friend a month ago for a catch up. We got on really well and it was so lovely.to catch up. I found myself feeling lustful towards him. I would never cheat, but in my head I wish I could have slept with him. I don't know what this means, whether I am just bored, whether I'm fed up with never seeing my boyfriend or whether I am losing interest. I really am confused.

Honeypie agony auntI DO think it was a GOOD thing you didn't sleep with him. Because cheating NEVER fixes anything.

TALK to your BF, tell him you NEED more from him, more time, more attention, more of him in your life. See if you two can work it out so that BOTH of you can get your needs fulfilled.

If he CAN'T/WON'T make time for you, then maybe.. you are not that big of a priority for him. And then you need to reconsider the relationship.
