Not turned on by straight porn when I'm in a relationship and I only seem to be turned on by gay porn! Does anyone else experience this?

Hi im a female and i was wondering is there any other women out there who aren't turned on by straight porn enough to masturbate over it? I like watching it to remind me of sex when I'm single and imagining me and my boyfriend. I used to get turned on by gay and lesbian but not straight, I was wondering if anyone was similiar. I also used gay porn when I had a boyfriend but didn't feel bad because I was just looking at the actions and the situation and not pretending I was having sex with them. Those women who feel the same as me why do you think that is?

Yes i know! Even the female friendly stuff still looks quite like it is aimed at men. The men need to look at the camera and be shown more and also have to be more gentle and better looking. They could do with making more noise too lol

A reader, anonymous, writes (14 March 2012):

Straight porn is pretty stupid and horrible for straight women, because it just involves shot after shot of a woman with her legs open. I am sorry, but that is not really what I want to see. In the porn movies in my head, I am the only woman, and I can't see between my own legs ; )

It is all from a man's POV.

A woman's POV is the opposite - the man's face, body, everything. We don't see much of ourselves.

So: I too once happened to glance at some male gay porn, and thought 'wow! yes! This is what I have been missing!' .. I actually even thought 'no horrible sluts in pink stilettos ... just some nice looking men with no clothes on'.

It makes sense that straight women will find sex showing men only more of a turn on that sex with 'perfect' women. Hell, just one guy on his own would be ideal. Or like they do the 'straight' porn for men - we could have a guy having sex with a women, but we never see her face or anything much of her. (That is how men are in straight porn - we hardly ever see their faces, and if we do, they are awful looking mostly).

So: for straight women, the ideal porn would be:

A GOOD LOOKING, nice looking, clean, sexy guy with a lovely body.

Having sex with someone.

Maybe. Or just lying on his bed on his own (waiting for us ; )

I so get what you are saying....I have no interest in a gay relationship, not even experimenting, however, I do once in a while like to watch "mild" W/W, M/M and M/M/W... I can only speak for myself, but, I think it might be because I can't stand the degrading things men do to women in straight porn...cuming on their face, sticking their penis's down their throats, rape like scenerios, etc. and especially can't stand the fake woman groaning, loud noises some of them make...it's annoying.

I have been in a relationship with my guy for over three years, and have no interest in watching straight porn with or without him....we do what we like, try new things, keep things spicy...we do not use porn to enhance our sex lives...we like to keep it real. :-)

So_Very_Confused agony auntLots of women don't like porn at all...

many women don't use porn to masturbate... I don't. my brain has much better visuals....

What porn turns you on does not define your sexuality.

A female reader, AuntyAlexxmo United Kingdom +, writes (14 March 2012):

AuntyAlexxmo agony auntStraight porn is very much aimed at males, the situations or sex shown are not aimed at what women enjoy or would like to see, due to this many women enjoy other types such as gay or lesbian even though it is not what they enjoy in real life as they can relate to it better.
