Hello,I was womdering if anybody could give me advice how to behave on a job interview?

I have been trying to find a job, and I must ave been doing something wron, because everybody phones me, and tells me ,sorry but no,,,

I'm kind of a shy guy, and don't know how to talk very well very highly about myself//

What do you usually wear? I thought jobs like gas station, stuff like that is ok to wear jeans.

So any suggestion would be great!

Thanks..

Always try to practice , go out and try it everywhere, just to get the experince!

Practice makes perfect!

When you are trying it every day, you will get the taste of it!

Also, ask about he business, what do they provide, etc, so they would know, you are interested , but not desparate!

The local job search agency, must have some good courses.

Take care!

Oh and I forgot to add: Think of some questions you can ask at the interview about the company or the employees :) This will show you are interested... Don't just ask what the pay is like, as it will make it seem like you are there for just the money. (even if you are, lol).

Give yourself at least a day or two to prepare for the interview.

Research the company and make a few mental notes of what the company is about, how long they've been around, who their audience/buyers are. This will show you've made time to research. If it's hard to remember some facts, write them down and stick them around the house i.e on the walls, fridge or mirrors, so you're likely to take notice!

Write down a list of positive and negative things about yourself, and if you're not very confident repeat the positive comments to yourself in the mirror( you also don't want to come across as over confident or arrogant, so don't go on and on lol ). Plan to say more positive things than negative, but only if you're asked this question. It's also helpful if you back these points up by giving them an example of when you applied these skills/qualities in past jobs or situations.

They are likely to ask why they should emply you, so think about this for a while and make a list or mental note of the things you can contribute that other people couldn't i.e characteristics in your personality, but only say these if it can apply to your work place.

Write a list of other possible questions they may ask such as good and bad experiences in previous work places or what your old boss may have thought of you as an employer, then write out the answers so you've got an idea of what to say if they ask.

Dress smartly for any interview I.e Black/grey trousers and a shirt, as it will make a good impression on the boss/manager. Sometimes they will notice that you as a person are reflected by how much effort you put into what you wear as well as what you say.

Also body language is very important, don't cross your legs or fold your arms. Shake their hand when they greet you and only sit down when you are told to do so or if you ask first.

Hope this helps! I've applied this to myself recently, and it helps a lot! (I have a job now :) ).

Good luck finding a job !
