Try everything you are curious about at least once, if you don't like it then you know not to go again! if you don't go you will always wonder what you are missing out on.

I've been going to all night parties, that finish between 6am the following morning and parties that have gone on for 4 days straight, I've been doing it for 9 years and it's taken me literally across the planet, for the first 5 or so years I did it pretty much every single weekend!
If they have music playing that you like, just go to one, if you don't like it, just make sure you have a backup plan so you can leave!
Also how about you just ask your friends what they are like? If you don't like what you hear, don't go! Easy!

Gotta say I'm a bit of a party girl, if I'm honest....
You got to ask yourself this first...what is a party?
Some people think its where you celebrate something, others think its a good excuse just to have a booze up.
Personally a party to me is where I can see all my mates, family etc have a good laugh, not necessarily a drink but basically having a good time and letting lose and enjoying themselves.
I find when your at parties the time just flies by thats why they seem to end at ridiculous times in the morning, drawbacks however is your ultra tired in the morning as you've only had 3 hours sleep but I guess some people see this as a finish to a good party!
It depends really on the sort of people you socialise with, but yeah the parties we have seem to end in the early hours, basically as long as your having fun and doing things that are right then it doesn't matter what time it ends.
Oh and a bit of advice always make sure you invite your neighbours, they can't complain about the noise then! xx
