But after doing it for like 2 years, I'm getting a little tired of it.Just wondering, when you shave, does the hair grow back thicker? And also, there's very fine hairs on my cheek but if I accidentally shave that area, would there be thicker hair growing back there?I'm 20 by the way, not some punk kid:-P there's not anyone else I could really ask cos my friends and folks dont have a clue on this. Thanks! It is possible for the hair to grow back darker and thicker as your body is still probably developing and your testosterone male hormones will affect hair growth. Shaving itself shouldn't make the hair grow back thicker (that is an old wive's tale) but as I say, your body is still developing well into your 20's and you are going to notice bodily changes as a consequence (not every man does but many do).
As you get older you may notice more beard or hair on your chest but some people never get truely hairy because genetics is a factor. If you are starting to shave you should be aware that the top layer of your skin has oils in it and when you are scraping the skin often to remove hair it can be a little sore so make sure you use lots of skin cream etc to rehydrate your skin.
