The closer we got (which he often initiated on his own) the more distant he would become. He seemed to be very attracted to me and it seemed that he was getting pretty serious. But the longer we hung out, the less he would initate contact (oddly enough, still made great effort to hang out). When we did hang out, he began to say less and less and would get embarassed easier. He suddenly stopped talking to me about a week before I left the state and hasn't said much since. I have sent him texts where he would continue the conversation (asking questions about how I am) only to drop off the face of the earth again. SN: - often tried to hold hands with me (but would shy away). asked if i had a boyfriend often.got jealous when i was wih other guys. talked about our future. remebered the little things I said. brought me small but meaningful gifts. spent hours with me for the heck of it. ditched his close friends to be with me. would bend over backwards for me. - A friend of his had mentioned that he and the guy I am attracted oten get shy around "foreign" girls b/c they don't think it would work.

He's playing games not understanding what he wants. He does that specifically to make you wonder wh,y which initiates the standard chasing factor. F he's a shy tuly lay it out and tell him how you feel. If nothing happens or he does not come to you. Let him go and move on it's his loss.
