 I don't know what your situation is with this guy, whether he is just a friend, co-worker, or someone you see out and about. Whatever it is try to make a friend of him, get chatting, and be generally interested in things he says. Then next time do a bit of light flirting, hold eye contact with him, use some light touches, and point your body in his direction, even laugh at things he says.
When you think you have built up a good raport ask him if he fancies doing something one night, but who knows it may even be him who asks you out first.
