They hated each other and I got to hear about it from both sides. Last month, they started talking again at a party and decided to give it another go. However, my one friend, we'll call him Matt, was jealous that the girl, we'll call her Linda, was talking to one of his OTHER friends, we'll call him Eli, a bit too much. So Matt and Eli stopped talking, Matt ended things with Linda, and Linda was devastated. Now, all three of them keep trying to talk to me and confide in me. I'm friends with all of them, but I really can't take it anymore. I have my own problems to deal with and they simply don't listen when I tell them I can't take on anyone elses problems right now. Linda and Matt always ask questions about eachother and ask me to say or do certain things and tell them how the otehr reactions, despite my objections. I feel used. They're two of my best friends, and I want to be there for them, but how can I get out of the middle of this sticky situation?
