writes: I have a 10 yr old son from a 9 yr relationship. His dad and I have been split up for almost 3 yrs. His dad has a new family and 1yr old child. We get a long well and coparenting is going well. I haven't been able to move on because my son has complete meltdowns if a man even says hello to me. Naturally people say he wants his dad and I to be together again but truthfully the dad is a narc and everyone benefits from that separation because everyone was a victim/supply. I try to talk to him and find out what so upsetting about men talking to me. He cries as if his soul is hurt but cannot explain why he's upset. I think he's old enough to understand the dynamic of a break up. He doesn't seem upset about his dad's new gf or the baby so its confusing and frustrating. We see dad several times a week he helps with school drop off and pick up so he hasn't been abandoned by dad. Please any feedback would be helpful
